Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026. This Policy explains what information Numbverify collects, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Numbverify (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to our websites, apps, accounts, wallets, and temporary SMS number services (the “Service”). Related terms appear in our Terms of Service.

If you have privacy questions or wish to exercise rights available in your region, contact privacy@numbverify.com.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide

  • Account data — email address, display name, password (stored as a secure hash via our auth provider), and profile settings
  • Support communications — messages, attachments, and details you send through contact forms or email
  • Transactional details — Add Funds amounts, selected payment method metadata returned by processors, and refund requests

1.2 Information generated by use of the Service

  • Order data — country, service, prices charged, phone numbers allocated to you, order status, timestamps, SMS message content/codes when delivered to our systems
  • Wallet ledger — credits, debits, balances, and related references
  • Technical logs — IP address, device/browser type, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, referring URLs, and diagnostic events
  • Security signals — failed login attempts, rate-limit triggers, and fraud-risk indicators

1.3 Information from third parties

  • Payment processors (e.g., Flutterwave, Paystack) — payment confirmation, processor transaction IDs, limited payer metadata
  • Auth / database providers — account identifiers and authentication events
  • SMS / number providers — allocation results, delivery status, and inbound SMS payloads needed to show your code

We do not intentionally collect full payment card numbers on Numbverify servers; card data is handled by the payment processor’s checkout flows where applicable.

2. How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service
  • Create and secure accounts; authenticate sessions
  • Process wallet top-ups, number orders, cancellations, and refunds
  • Display inbound SMS content/codes associated with your orders
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Provide customer support and investigate disputes
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
  • Send service notices (security, billing, material policy changes)

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use inbound SMS contents for advertising profiles.

3. Legal bases (where required)

If applicable law requires a legal basis (for example GDPR), we typically rely on:

  • Contract — to deliver the Service you request
  • Legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention, product improvement, limited analytics
  • Consent — where required for optional cookies/communications
  • Legal obligation — tax, accounting, lawful requests

4. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run the Service or as required by law:

  • Infrastructure vendors — hosting, authentication, database, email delivery, analytics (if enabled)
  • Payment processors — to complete Add Funds and reconcile transactions
  • Telecommunications / activation partners — to allocate numbers and retrieve SMS status
  • Professional advisors — legal, accounting, compliance, under confidentiality
  • Authorities — when required by valid legal process or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to appropriate protections

5. SMS content and sensitive notes

Inbound verification messages may include one-time codes and related text. We store this content to show it in your order history and for support/dispute handling. Treat codes as confidential. Destination platforms may have their own rules about temporary numbers; you are responsible for complying with those rules.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies/storage for authentication, security, and preferences. If we use optional analytics or marketing cookies, we will provide notice and choices where required by law.

7. Data retention

We retain account, wallet, and order records for as long as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, detect abuse, and meet legal/accounting requirements. Support tickets are retained for a reasonable period to maintain service quality. When retention is no longer necessary, we delete or de-identify data where feasible.

8. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the risk — including encrypted transport (HTTPS), restricted server-side secrets (such as provider API keys), access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

9. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our vendors operate. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete information (subject to legal retention needs)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive a portable copy of data you provided
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based

To make a request, email privacy@numbverify.com from your account email (or verify ownership another way). We may need to confirm identity before fulfilling requests.

11. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

12. Do Not Track / marketing

We currently do not respond to DNT signals in a specialized way beyond standard privacy controls. Service emails related to security and transactions are necessary. Optional product updates, if offered, can be opted out of where provided.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we post revisions. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
